Peñíscola, Spain

Peñíscola is a Mediterranean dream. It is history on a rock along the white and blue narrow streets of the upper old part surrounded at north and south by two awesome long beaches. There, its water is at a warm temperature for bathing for almost half of the year. It remains in Peñíscola still a good portion of local identity on the top of the tourist development, with plenty of summerhouses. But you can find still fishermen and grandmas spending afternoons on the shadowy side of their streets sat on old chairs just in front of their home gates.

Paraty, Brazil

Paraty, it’s one of the most beautiful colonial town of Brazil.  It is located on the Costa Verde (Green Coast), a lush green corridor that runs along the coastline of the state of Rio de Janeiro. Paraty has become a tourist destination, known for its historic town center and the coast and mountains in the region. The historic center of the city, as well as four areas of the Atlantic Forest, were inscribed on UNESCO World Heritage List in 2019 under the title “Paraty and Ilha Grande

Tlacotalpan, México

Tlacotalpan was founded by Spaniards in the 16th century to develop livestock activities, but above all as a fishing village, it’s a unique destination where its warm climate makes it ideal for long romantic walks while watching sunsets from its boardwalk or letting yourself be enveloped by the buildings full of history. Its historical centre was declared World Cultural Heritage in 1998 due to the unique beauty of the architecture of its buildings, harmoniously blending Caribbean and Spanish styles, but above all because it shelters in perfect condition the facilities of a factory from the late eighteenth century.

Colonia del Sacramento, Uruguay

Colonia del Sacramento has an outstanding location, it’s just a one-hour ferry ride from Buenos Aires across the Río de la Plata, making it easy to squeeze in a visit from neighbouring Argentina. Not to mention if you are on a road-trip in Uruguay, it must be included into your itinerary! The historic quarter Colonia del Sacramento rewards those who make the trip with colourful facades, vine-draped shops and palm-fringed boardwalks set within a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and is the type of laid-back place where one simply wanders around losing track of time.

Szentendre, Hungary

Szentendre is a riverside town in Pest CountyHungary, between the capital city Budapest and Pilis-Visegrád Mountains. The town is known for its museums (most notably the Open-Air Ethnographic Museum), galleries, and artists. Due to its historic architecture and easy rail and river access, it has become a destination for tourists staying in Budapest. There are many facilities, including souvenir shops and restaurants, catering to these visitors. The place has a very unique artistic vibe, that represents in the colourful cobblestones streets, little artistic solutions almost on every corner. And the Danube promenade is one of the most romantic ones to take a never-ending walk hand in hand.

Porto, Portugal

One of the most emblematic representations of Porto’s history and culture are those beautiful tiles we see all over the city which are known as azulejos. They come in different colors, but most commonly, they are in white and blue and give a perfect setting for romantic walks all around the city. Not to mention the southern side of the Douro river is Vila Nova de Gaia, the home of Porto Wine and a place that you must not miss even if you’ve never cared for the wine. This waterfront can be busy and usually it’s packed with tourists. All the wine houses offer tastings and almost all offer cellar tours which are really the most interesting part.

Hallstatt, Austria

Hallsttatt, this amazing Austrian wonder, depending on which part of the year you are travelling to the village, will show you a different side. More vibrant colours during summer, with an emerald green shade on the lake, while in winter all the roofs are covered by snow. Around autumn we can be admire the falling leafs on the cute narrow streets, already enough chilly to enjoy a hot chocolate while walking and wondering around.

Bled, Slovenia

Bled is probably one of the easiest visits you can do in whole Europe. The town itself is not very big, not that interesting either, therefore it’s super easy to reach by car. But its lake is one of the most beautiful and picturesque all around the continent. Actually, people go on purpose to visit the lake and not the town. You can take a romantic walk around the lake, observing from each angle, admire the peaceful nature, and the floating boats on the calm lake.

  1. Dhirendra.S.Chauhan – I am a travel enthusiast from India always full of curiosity to explore new places marked by some cultural, geographical & historical significance around the globe. Also I love visiting places full of adventure/mystery & have undertaken many amazing trekking expeditions to difficult locations needing toughness of body, soul &the spirit. I have explored most of Indian states/UTs to learn about their culture, had cultural exchange with people & learnt to respect their religious beliefs/customs.In September 2019, we went on our first foreign trip(50 days)to Netherlands, France, Belgium& Switzerland.Again in July 2022 ,we got a chance to visit Europe & have visited(75-day trip)Italy ,Portugal, Germany,Spain & Vatican city. The trips were full of amazing monuments, natural landscapes & places of great scenic beauty.Enjoyed the visit enormously.Having traveled so much I felt like travel blogging & here I am doing just that !Apart from travel-blogging I also like poetry. Basically I am an Electrical Engineer retired recently from Central Govt. Service after serving for 38 yrs. Meanwhile I have completed my Master of Social Work degree to pursue my Social obligations towards my fellow beings & am engaged in rendering Social Services to the needy &the disadvantaged ! Also I will like to pursue my new-found interest/hobby of writing Travelogues to benefit my readers by providing max. details like statistics, demography, historical origin, way of life , professions , languages spoken & the culture/customs associated with any place. While enjoying any tourist place, I simply advocate that one must also try to learn about the place. I travel and then share the collected information with the potential traveler .Hence the name of my site – Travel and share.😊
