Entrance ticket is 3KWD but it is worth it if you recall Kuwait Towers are a national symbol. Just don’t miss the occasion of taking a taxi after your visit if you see any because it might not be found any other around.  

Grand Mosque of Kuwait

This is clearly a stunning architectural masterpiece showcasing Islamic design and culture. Visitors are drawn to its majestic halls and serene courtyards, offering a serene glimpse into Islamic culture and spirituality, making it a captivating stop for tourists seeking cultural immersion.

It is not very intuitive from where you could get in. The best is to ask one of the guards who may ask for permission to let you in and escort you to a  waiting room where you will be welcomed with some arabic coffee, a visitor card and the proper outfit for the visit. A full free entrance experience you will probably do alone with no a crowd of tourists around fighting for pictures.

If you want a real experience in an Arab souk, this can be your place. Personally, I got inside with my wife since she needed new shoes and we could bargain for a good deal. Sellers don’t push too much and dealing with them is a gentle experience.

Al Bahar Entertainment Historical Village

Kuwait’s living history at the Entertainment Historical Village. Step back in time while discovering Kuwait amidst traditional architecture, cultural exhibits, and lively performances. We went there just by coincidence since it was very close to our hotel and we could not find a better way to cross the road to reach the sea corniche. It was a very surprising experience where you can engage in crafts, relish local cuisines, and witness Bedouin heritage. Immerse in a captivating journey through Kuwait’s past, a vibrant celebration of its rich cultural tapestry.

The National Library of Kuwait

The National Library of Kuwait is in front of the Kuwait National museum and stands as a beacon of knowledge, housing a vast collection of historic manuscripts, books, and cultural artifacts. A hub for research and exploration, it invites visitors to delve into Kuwait’s heritage, offering insights into its rich history, literature, and cultural evolution through the ages. Even if you are not interested on books, the modern building itself and the inner views are very much worth it.

Kuwait National Museum

The Kuwait National Museum is a captivating journey through time while discovering Kuwait, showcasing the nation’s heritage. It is divided in four parts but the astronomic one it was out of service in 2024. it is nicely done and when the works are finished it will show up with a very interesting museum proposal.

Around the Old Market you can find the most interesting places to eat in Kuwait City. Those restaurants usually have terrace and big saloons inside where to enjoy tourist and very local food. Prices are always reasonable but they can vary a lot depending on what you order. Big peaces of meat or fish are pricy while local appetizers and vegetarian dishes are surprisingly cheap. By plane

It is possible to fly to Kuwait. We have got in the country by plane. Check always upfront the visa requirements for your nationality. Check for any specific permits or visas required for entry into Kuwait. xpect customs and immigration checks at the border. Have all relevant documents ready for inspection. Follow customs regulations regarding items allowed for importation.
