The coolest urban market of Barcelona in a beautiful garden. 😍
We were checking several Christmas markets during this weekend in Barcelona and within two ‘mercado de navidad’s we ended up at Palo Alto, the best Christmast maket in Barcelona. This cool garden is located in Poblenou, in a courtyard of a former factory that functions now as a foundation, a co-working space, a meeting and melting point of many different food trucks, and gives space monthly once for a very cool street food and design market: The Palo Alto Market.
This weekend it was the Christmas edition. ⭐️ You can still access the courtyard on any other days too during the year, but definitely the best is to go when the vibrant market takes place.
Usually they are posting on their Instagram profile the date and theme of the next monthly market, worth to follow them for the information. 😉
It’s half open air, half covered, with different design exhibitions and shops inside the building. The bars, the food trucks and the street market are located outside. It’s usually taking place on the first weekend of each month and you will find organic and street food, “street style” fashion, accessories, jewelry, “new design”, “vintage“, crafts, books, records, live concerts, wine-tasting…etc. Besides during the market they organize workshops, concerts and art exhibitions, too.
Kids under 12 and for people with reduced mobility or disability and their companions, and neighbors of Diagonal Mar – Front Marítim and Poblenou the entrance is free.
Otherwise the price at the box office: € 4.50 and pre-sale price is € 3.50.
We were hesitating for a while, where to eat, which food truck to try, and we ended up at La Internacional. But many cool places are representing themselves from the city, like La Fábrica or Les Dues Sicilíes.
