The fares are reasonable, you can cross the city for 80 or 90 SAR which can seem a lot of money but you will notice distances are very long in Riyadh. There are no taxi stations so you can just walk and wait to see one of them in circulation.

They are a proper lottery. Some of the drivers are really nice and helpful honest people who wanted to have some extra income on top of their official work salaries. Some others, especially at the airport, are a bunch of charlatans who will want to get as much money from you as possible, regardless of whether the price to charge is fair or not.
